Jozo Zovko - painter, 11th of March 2014.

Jozo Zovko is a janitor of the Institute of physics. This means that I asked him several times to tape my windows so that the wind
does not blow through them, to change the burnt fluorescent light-bulbs, to cut off some pipes and similar.
But Jozo is not only a janitor, he is also a painter. I found that out when I went to visit him in the central heating facility where
I noted tables and shelves full of his paintings.

Jozo's paintings are good. There is a felling of obsession about them that is characteristic of true artists. And there is also anxiety and sadness. That is when Joso gets his trowel and hits the board with a cigarette in his teeth!

The painting above was called "Love" by Jozo. OK. It's more like a "Lizard love" to me.

And here is "A very sad man viewed from the side" (above).

Something like a grass (above).

Birch forest (iznad). Only one from the large number of paintings of birches.

Olive (above). My favorite.

Jellyfish (above). Actually, I don't know the name of this painting, I immediately saw a jellyfish in it.

A very sad dog (above).

Honor and integrity (above).

One of the advantages od Jozo's paintings is that one can view them in any way he/she prefers. Jozo says that there is no "true" side, up-down, left-right. He says, just pick for yourself what you like the most.

Connection (above).

A composition with some spray (above). I like it best in this orientation.

Jozo Zovko almost like Jackson Pollock (above).

Trees in the wind (above). This is almost certainly not the name of the painting.

War (above).

Sky (above).

And, in the end, animals (above). Jozo as a cave artist.
