His constructed world (6th of October 2012)

The walk around the institute did not bring about the relaxation he was hoping for. It was a sunny day and too many people went
out, among the trees. They were sitting around tables, eating, drinking coffee, some were even making a lot of noise. In fact,
they were laughing, but it sounded like a completely unnecessary noise.
But, in a single moment, on a path between the two oldest cherries, he experienced a sudden flash of perception.
He understood that the world was his. In all the important aspects the world was his. Of course, there were some less important
rules which had to be taken into consideration and which he could not influence like gravity or conservation of energy, but
outside that, everything else was his. He could for example not hear anything. He could look behind things or he didn't even
have to look at all. He could not respond to questions or greetings. He could completely accept all these stimuli as part of
his world, world that he is entitled to. It was a good and calming insight.
Of course, it was also a very selfish insight, but one which could be best adapted to observation and the needs of observer. In that
sense, its selfishness was scientifically justified. His world did not exist in an importantly objective way, and even the laws
of nature could be explained by the organization of the perceptive apparatus. Perhaps they could even be detoured. Perhaps, they
were just the way of processing the sensations.
