Onion, Allium cepa

Onion. The one above, the usual onion (Allium cepa), was painted a couple of days ago as it arrived freshly from the local market.

The plant whose flower is illustrated below is also from the Allium genus - Allium rotundum. It was painted in June last year and I found it on the island of Krk, Croatia, in a tall grass, as I was walking towards my hidden place for sunbathing and swimming.
